Publishing Choice: Paperback

Paperback — $1400

    This is a flat one time fee. There are no extra charges. This is the amount you will pay from manuscript through finished product. We do not charge for corrections. As it is being formatted, we take the extra time to adjust the spacing on each line, if necessary, to reduce hyphenation, eliminate widows and bad line and page breaks. We will work with you as long as necessary, in each phase of production, to be sure your book is in the best possible shape when it greets the world. We do not think an author should have to pay extra to get it right.

    Your book is individually designed and formatted based on the content of the book itself. We use NO templates – your book is custom from start to finish. The interior text and formatting, including the cover concept, is specifically designed for the content and genre of your book. We provide you with three initial custom covers to choose from, as well as initial formatting of the interior that you approve prior to the complete formatting of the book.

    If you already have a concept that you want executed, we can do that too. You may also supply the artwork for the cover or we can help you acquire it.

    We believe in our work and that of our authors. That’s why we put forth that extra effort. We think the end result is worth it. Many authors have put years into writing their book, we think the end result should reflect that same dedication.

Custom Cover and Interior.

Each cover and interior is designed and formatted with the subject matter and the storyline of the book driving the process. Cover images are provided by Cold Tree or you may supply your own. There are no templates used, and the author's thoughts and vision on what they see as the final product are all taken into consideration. These things, combined with our years of experience in marketing, come together to create a product that enhances and presents the author’s work in the most positive and marketable light.

Royalties

The royalties we offer are some of the highest in the industry. Our royalties are 30% of the retail price for all books sold through the Cold Tree Press Catalog, not of the net as some do, with a 15% royalty on books sold through any online or retail bookseller. Though we don't pay royalties on books purchased by the authors themselves, we offer a substantial 40% discount off the retail price.

Personal interaction throughout the production process.

We feel that this may be one of the most important aspects of bringing your work to the marketplace and one that sets us apart. It allows us to share in your vision while letting you rely on our expertise in book design and marketing on a one-to-one basis. It’s a true partnership in bringing your work to life.

A chance to review your book as it will appear in the final printing.

5 finished copies to distribute as you wish.

We also offer a substantial author discount for authors on future books (40% off the list price) when purchasing through Cold Tree Press.

Free Marketing Design Assistance.

We will design most materials you may need for promoting your book, free of charge, as long as your book is in our catalog.

Book Sales.

Online sales placement in our Catalog section as well as registration with and sales through amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and booksamillion.com. Your book will also be available by order through most retail bookstores through a listing with the Ingram Distribution Group, the largest in the world. Or we can work directly with the retailer and fulfill the order through Cold Tree Press.
